Renacer: to be reborn collection for Creamos Futuros foundation
Renacer collection represents a new chapter in creamos’ story. It represents a collection that was born not from the skill set of one woman, but from the cohesion of the group.
Renacer represents the opportunity and learning process that guatemalan women experience as they move on to a new chapter of their lives full of recovery, healing, learning and self discovery. It is in this space that women can dream and ultimately accomplish what they have set out to do in pursuit of healthy and stable lives.
The textile pattern design for this collection began with a manual exploration in which i worked on the concept of footprints, marks and traces that were digitally transformed into patterns that were stamped on different textile surfaces.

Renacer representa la oportunidad y el proceso de aprendizaje que estas mujeres Guatemaltecas experimentan en una nueva etapa de su vida. En un ambiente de recuperación, sanación, aprendizaje y empoderamiento. Es así cuando se permiten soñar y a la vez cumplir estos sueños de tener una vida digna y estable.
El diseño de patrones textiles para esta colección inicio con una exploración manual en la cual trabaje el concepto de las huellas, marcas y rastros que se transformaron digitalmente en patrones que se estamparon en diferentes superficies textiles.

Through selecting the most eco friendly and ethically sourced materials, our products exude our ethos. with the renacer collection, we display our commitment to creating a world in which no woman has to engage on risky work to support her family.
the woven fabric used in the collection was hand woven by a family in totonicapan. all printed fabric was screen printed by creamos participants."
